Printing ?

I sliced a project and created a code last year and the print time was around 3 and a half hours. I went to create the same object however I turned on ironing and it jumped to over 7 and a half hours. I turned the ironing off to see if it made a four hour difference and it only went down about 30 minutes. Why are my prints seemingly taking longer than they were just a few months ago????

RE:

If no other changes were made to the printer it could not be that setting 'ironing' caused some other, related, parameter settings to be changed too,  while deselecting ironing leaves those untouched. This is a common issue with this kind of UI's. A lot happens under the hood and there is no 'memory' of the previous state with reason why the setting was changed, other than maybe in the 'undo' stack.

Best reload your old project file, slice, check new predicted print time versus your memory (if you have the old gcode file the time is in the file name), set 'ironing', study the differences, and see what effect 'undo' has.

RE: Printing ?

Thank you for your reply. It's funny because I did what you suggested yesterday. I found what changed was it was set on .10 speed and normally it was on .20. That is the only difference I could find and it put a print time back to what I knew it was at before. The ironing did change the time, which I expected. I don't know if I changed that setting or if it was an update or what. I appreciate you replying back!
