Printer Support State

Sooo, I have an idea.

I have 5 Prusa printers at home, and manage a couple of school labs as well. the amount of prusa printers in total is adding up... (more than 20)

The amount of filament that comes through these printers are kindof insane (250+kg pr. year)

Most of the printers are connected to prusa connect, and mostly I use that to check on usage of the printers in the different labs (so mostly under statistics), so I can sort of estimate when the printers need some lubricant and a thorough build-plate cleaning.

Right now if some bigger problem occurs I only get that info if someone from a lab writes/calls me personally or during a routine visit.

My suggestion is this:

Some kind of activatable support/service/maintenance state directly on the printers.

This could be an option under the support menu in the printer UI.

This could also be a way of signalling to students that this printer needs service and to use a different printer.

This "service" state should the also show up in Connect, so I can remotely see that a printer needs service.
It would also be super cool if there could be a support tab in connect where I could note down the support/service/maintenance history of the printer.

Thanks for all the cool features you've implemented so far!

RE: Printer Support State

that are a lot of printers!. What about Octoprint or Repetier?

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.
