Printed Solid is Changing Leadership

3D printing legend Josef Prusa takes emergency command of Printed Solid after CEO exit

Interesting so see how this plays out. I know they started a Prusament line and print farm to crank out parts. Perhaps it will become entirely absorbed into Prusa?

My issue with them in the recent past was that it often cheaper (and faster) for me to order from Prusa directly. Interesting to see how this will play out.

While still surprised, I think the last couple of the (more or less) annual tour video's by well known youtubers in the printing space already had a different energy to them and this explains a lot to me.

Amen. If an item was actually in store, it was usually cheaper to order from Prusa directly. Plus, ordering from Prusa usually resulted in the parts being here before PrintedSolid even shipped them….

Occasionally I also ordered from PartsBuilt3D who always seem to have more inventory than PrintedSolid, go figure.

I really hope that this is a Good Thing and helps get PrintedSolid become more efficient. So far it felt like it was just a way for Prusa to address customers that require "Made in USA" as opposed to non-corporate/government users such as me.
