Power Panic Question
Hello everyone,
The power just went out at my house and I have an MK3S, so I’m hoping that the power panic works since I’m 5 hours into a print.
I watched it turn off when the power went out but in a moment of stupidity, when trying to flip a breaker and test the power, I toggled the Prusa on/off switch. So while the power in my house was off and the printer was off, I turned it off/on for a half second. It’s now back in the on position while I wait for the house power to come back. Did I screw up the power panic by doing that or will it be waiting for me when it comes back on?
Update: It worked just fine. The power came back on and I was met with a screen that read “resume print?” I don’t know if it would’ve been different if I had the printer turned off for longer during the outage, but with a quick off/on toggle while the power was out, the power panic feature worked great.
RE: Power Panic Question
The printer will not notice the switch being flipped when there is no power, the printer is pretty much dead in that state. All the information about resuming is stored in an EEPROM on the printer CPU and will stay stored until power is applied and the "Resume?" message displayed.
