I'm going to wait a bit, but I think this one's a definite buy for me.

I kept trying to justify coughing up some not insignificant amount of €€ and buying MK3S for my little self too (recently bought and built one for my dad), but this one may actually seal the deal. The size should be sufficient for my needs and price is just right.

Tough to justify.

Yeah yeah ... after all if I'll need bigger print I can come to visit parents with an SD card or just send e-mail with g-code and pick up prints. The MINI is on backoder now BTW. Wondering how long the queue is now ... It looks like this printer gained some traction right from the start.

I'll wait until I can actually purchase one: i.e., press ORDER and have it shipped next day. None of this order then wait a week to find out the sip date is six months out "due to demand" BS.

I have one on my MK3S, but I wonder if a RPi makes sense given it is already network connected. Considering the 32bit processor and associated Dev Tools, supporting a native web interface seems almost a given.

Hi all
Would be great to get a MK3S with the new mainboard that is in the Mini. Are there any plans, yet?
Best regards
Christian

No. Prusa has made it clear that the new board, as is, will not work with the Mk3S.

Do you have a source for that? I wanted to order a MK3S with mmu. When the Mini was released, Mr. Prusa also talked about the Xl and that other improvements that come out of it will be tested on the I3. I'm now unsure if I should buy the MK3S already and get an update (if there will be an update option) later or if I should wait for an MK4. Waiting could be a long time when first the Mini starts up and then next year the XL.

I’m also waiting for either an updated MK3S or MK4. 🙂

I've been pondering if to order a mini, I think I will eventually because I'm selling a bit of the stuff I design and my MK2.5S is running hot, so a second printer would be handy. I'm just wondering if a screen makes sense on a budget machine? I mean, like... we all carry a touch screen around with us, so why not have PrusaNET ™ to control your printer(s) from your phone and remove the screen altogether. I would be happy not to have it, and have it replaced with a sexy sexy app where I could monitor all my prints (built in camera support would also be good, assign a stream to a printer... or whatever). The only physical button on the machine would be the big "OH BUGGER, ABORT" button, like, the X.
Anyway, not sure how much it would reduce the cost, but for farm printers I don't see the need for an onboard screen, just added cost yeah? Probably not that much, but still.
Also hurry up with the XL! I have so many designs just out of the print range of my 2.5S. Viable commercial designs I really want to get cracking on 🤣 I need those extra mms! It also doesn't need a screen. GIMME!

I'm thinking about printing out a lot of Kobe Bryant Pictures for my basketball players. These would be 8.5 by 11 pages, filled with ink of a picture of a Kobe Bryant.
I am worried that printing a lot of these pictures might do something bad to my Brother Laser Printer. My other option would be to go to staples/kinkos to try and get them printed.
But if no damage is to occur, then my preference would be to print them at home.

Seems like a spam bot that's putting in nonsensical text because it matched the word "printer", report and ignore it
