Downhill
Wow,this is going downhill quickly. First we got an utterly unnecessary required title for comments. Now it's actually showing up, in bold, to add insult to injury. As much as I applaud the Prusa team for continuing to improve this website, for me this only adds noise to the comments.

No upload and nothing indicating it was attaching anything. The Add Media button worked though which is what I ended up using.
Hi Neophyle,
Has this been fixed?

Thank you Neophyl,
I raised this as an issue with the devs. but it may have been resolved after your original post.
Happy Printing,
Joan

Email notifications
Obviously file attachments is much more important but if poss opt-in for email notifications.
Maybe this is a good idea after all.
Not sure at what point devs are with the madatory sub title but I for one think it's kindda handy. In a long thread, scanning for a particular post it might help a lot.
Appreciate the improvements, but please stop breaking things!
I do appreciate the team's efforts, but you are breaking key functionality:
- Links and attachments simply show up as bold text. This breaks usability, and with the massive bold and mandatory title, it's easy to overlook essential information.
- You have broken the ability to paste in preformatted text and links. This requires hand-editing every post to include helpful information and is a real drain on anybody trying to help others.
- Making titles mandatory is just dumb. Makes the whole experience feel more like a Twitter clone.
- The 5-minute timeout for editing is just dumb. I realize you want to lock posts to reduce spam activity, but an hour or two will be just as effective.

Agree, totally!!
My main reason is this, let's say I want to look at a post from @bobstro in the thread "New Updates something the Prusa Community something "?
That's easy, just go to his members page and scroll through to find a post, in that thread, click on the post and I am "in" that thread 👍
Well, not anymore 🤬 , this is what it looks like now
It shows the title @bobstro choose to use, not the main name of the thread
And now, just because we can, we tend to use all sorts of weird title names. 😀
"Use the search function"! We all know how "good" that is....

Is login a pain on mobile?
I seem to have to do a lot of scrolling to log in when using mobile. That button seems to be non-responsive.

Ignore my last post, it seems I misunderstood everything. 😔 It now show the first line in the post, not the title.
And it MAY have been so all the time??

Got to agree about the title on replies. A title requirement for new posts is fundamental but on a reply it either shouldn't be required or it needs to be auto filled in with the threads original title.
Don't mind the bell though. 🙂
I think I've found a work-around to the title nonsense, but if I tell you here, I would have to shoot you. PM me if you can't figure it out.
wtf
I don't really like the titles on replies, either.

I consider it to be a minor annoyance, but one that I can live with by simply doing as I am told and entering 'title here' when it says to 'enter title here'. 😉
However, this afternoon when I returned and was checking email, I got a notification of a reply in a thread I was subscribed to (the 'More than one printer') thread which had, in the email, a partial included text of: 'Oh - I have just realised how to bypass the title!'
Of course I clicked on the link to the message as soon as I saw it.
However, rather than taking me to the message that was quoted, it took me to the top of the thread, indicating that someone (??) had removed the message, after it was posted, for some (??) reason.
Now, having, in a previous life, actually done coding for web fora in PHP and 'c', I thought back to some of the code I have written in the past to take user input (such as a title of a post) and sanity check it and correct minor issues, specifically some of the common things that some programmers forget to do, and also what might be an easy way to 'fake out' things and result in an apparently blank or null title.
Hint: It's all but trivial. Think about it. 😉
Now let's see if this message gets removed. 😉 😉 😉 (Do I need to post a note every so often saying that the 'canary' is still alive?) 😉 😉 😉
I just hit spacebar in title field...

Survey says ... ... **DING!**
Strange, when I hit spacebar sometimes the title is gone completely, and sometimes there is the threads title
