RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Would like to see .f3d support for Fusion 360 files.
Fusion can export step, but in all cases, if I'm able to use the original project file, that is greatly preferred.
I agree. Having the original model in the format used to generate it (especially for parametric modelers) makes it easier for others to remix and possibly learn from. Personally I don't use F360, but that doesn't mean that I don't see the value of those files. I'd like to expand your request to accept the native format for all the 3D modellers out there. Fusion 360, Blender, FreeCAD, OpenSCAD, etc. And provide a request system for the users to have file formats added (in case someone wants to upload something done in POVRay or Lightwave, Maya, etc.).

RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Ugh, I've tried three times to upload a print. Never can get things to save or publish reliably.
Simply aggravating. I give up on the Prints beta.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
How do I edit a daft and publish it?

How do I edit a daft and publish it?
Toggle the switch next to where it says draft when editing. This caught me to at first.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
I still don't like working with this new model site for a few simple reasons:
- When adding pictures in comments, they'll be shown in reverse of how you added them and there's no way of modifying the order (that I can find). Posted a make with an extra image of a print bed of some of the pieces and now that image is the "cover" image...
- I really don't trust someone else's gcode files. To me it feels like this is some random place where people can just post executable files and tell you "go ahead and execute them, no virus scan needed, they'll work". I get that they might be scanned for damaging commands, but where's my guarantee that it was actually done and that nothing else remains? It's not that I don't trust people, but I'm more of a "also verify" type of person. It is my hard earned money I will be letting these loose on.
- The fact that you still can't favorite things is mind boggling. To me that's literally the first function you should add for the consumers after the maker part is done. How do you expect people to find everything again? I've tried bookmarking for a while and just find myself going back to thingiverse and using my collections.
Overall, good initiative, good start, but it still requires more work to be enjoyed thoroughly.

RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
I finally managed to get ONE "print" to save after uploading. It was a freak event.
The very next print I try to upload fails again after clicking save or publish. Nothing actually gets saved and leaving page is greeted by "do you really want to leave without saving" message. For heaven sakes I clicked on save just 1/2 second ago. Emptying cache doesn't help. Retrying from beginning doesn't help. Reported to feedback, but this needs to be debugged.
Not encouraging at all to upload material when nearly every time my efforts are for naught.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Figured out work-around for Prusaprinter buggy website...
After uploading and writing description do NOT PRESS SAVE DRAFT. That starts a futile cycle of it not saving anything and never giving you a chance to save your work.
Instead shift out of draft mode and immediately publish. That actually does save your upload.
Basically, SAVE DRAFT is a dead end for your efforts. Just don't click on that button.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The "best" 3D model database and community!
After nearly an hour struggling to update the BNBSX extruder files on Prusaprinters, I was never completely successful. Rather than having projects with out of date files on the Prusaprinters site, it was best to simply delete everything.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Are the Prusaprinters web pages (www.prusaprinters.org) actually working correctly for anyone? I have not been able to properly view the prints pages since the maintenance update last Tuesday (11 June). If the prints page loads and I click on a print and then go back, any further clicks on links do not work. Similarly, if before selecting a print I attempt to change the category filter, nothing works.
I have tried all 3 browsers on my Win 10 PC (Edge, Firefox and Chrome) as well as Safari on my iPad. I've cleared cookies and data caches all to no avail.
Surely, I can't be the only one having problems?
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Just tested those two scenarios and it works fine. Using Chrome on Windows 10. The only thing that doesn't work well for me is that the infinite scrolling seems to pause every two "loads".
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
@acorderob, thanks for the reply. I've just checked again and weirdly it's now working fine for me on Firefox. I do run Pi-Hole on my network but I've put the site's URL in the whitelist. I have previously disabled Pi-Hole to no effect and did so again just now and it made no difference either way (enabled or disabled) - the site is now working for me.
No idea why it's now working all of a sudden unless someone has fixed something since I posted earlier.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Still broken here. I managed to get everything for a model uploaded after much effort and saved as a draft. I got messages that the files were uploaded and they appear to be there. When I try to publish I get the message:
even after several days of trying.
Too bad - I hoped that this could be an alternative to Thingiverse, but so far it is just a waste of time.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
yes got your point.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Yes: '
.' here too.The strong encouragement to post gcodes is not well supported either. I have no idea what users have available so I uploaded code for three different filaments and two printer variants - six files in all - and then the form queries the multiple files and suggests I move them elsewhere...
...and it won't let me select more than one printer variant.
It doesn't feel right to upload this as six different-but-identical prints.
It would have been much easier to provide stl files but then I would have to provide detailed slicing instructions as the defaults are not suitable.
So, right now, nothing is published...
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
.fcstd file support would be nice, so masochists who use FreeCAD can modify design files directly.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Update:
Today my print bore a note saying it finished uploading four days ago. I hit the button and it posted ...
So, winding back four days it must have taken ... about 17 days for the system to accept it.
One of the pictures has uploaded twice but I'm not going to risk editing it out in case it restarts the wait.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Suggestion: In Notifications, also have an entry if a print I've downloaded has been updated.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
Now that we have remixes, could we have a remix tree view?
Could be very useful, specially once you add thingiverse importing.
RE: New PrusaPrinters - The best 3D model database and community!
I have a problem, I'm not sure this thread is the one can be used to report my issues. I uploaded my jpeg file and stl files, inserted title, and description. I switched to published and pressed publish now button. the loading bar looked like it was successful, but going back to my profile, it is still under draft. No matter what I did, even a new upload/object will still be in draft. I wanted to join the contest as well =\
