New Belt Tuning Wizard
Has anyone used and had success with the new belt tuning wizard.
I had a lengthy support chat about it and when I said it was not dark enough to see the strobing light, the response was. What are you talking about?
I stopped the chat at that point and went back to the acoustic tuner.
Anyone had success with it? Tips?

I have used the Belt Tuning Wizard and it worked very well for me, in fact I hated the acoustic tuner. You actually do not see the strobing lights, you look for the belts vibrating and adjust accordingly, the Belt Tuning Wizard "strobes" the leds quicker than you can see.

It's been working fine for me since the alpha release. If it is "too dark" are your white LED's hooked up and working correctly? I compared it against the audio tuner and the differ by as much as 0.5hz. So it's quite accurate.

I guess. They are set to 100% on each line, but they are not very bright.
I know they strobe fast, but I have to still be able to see them. I'll try in a dark room and let you know.

If anything the older method was far more frustrating for me. The wizard has been a huge improvement. As with the posts above don't expect to see any flicker effect. Human eyes just don't respond quick enough for this. What you will see is an illusion where the belts appear to wobble back and forth, and you're looking for the tension that delivers the largest movement.
The gifs on Prusa's guide page are very close to what you'll see, eg:

All the best.

You turn the knob to change the frequency. If the belts are within range you should see them oscillate. If they are too loose or too tight then you will only see a them as stationary.

It sounds to me like you are still expecting to see the light flicker? That is not the case. At 60..100 Hz, the LEDs will appear like a steady white light to your eyes.
The apparent slow belt movement will only be visible when you excite the belts close to their resonance frequency. If they are still significantly too loose, that resonance may be below the frequency range which you can scan in the belt tuning wizard. With the wizard stopped, pluck the belts by hand to check whether the frequency is already in the range (above 60 Hz if I remember correctly). Or use the acoustic belt tuner app to check whether you are in the ballpark, then let the stroboscope wizard take over for accurate adjustment.
