need help ,printer stops and says unload and then reload pla
I have a original Prusa i3 mk3 and the latest software and firmware as of today. While printing the printer stops, beeps and tells me to unload filament and then to load filament and then it prints for a couple minutes and keeps repeating this over and over. I'm using pla that I have used before and even changed pla when it stopped and said unload and load. I'm at a loss with this and don't know what to look for. any thoughts on this?
Thanks Gary

Have you blown dust out of the sensor housing?
have you replaced the air duster access plug?
is the filament shiny, translucent, transparent or green?
the mk3 filament sensor is a bit finnicky...
there are modified extruder housings with bearings running on the filament ad the sensor reading the bearing instead of the filament that claim to overcome the weaknesses of the laser sensor

I got to be honest I'm 3d printer illiterate, I don't know what the sensor housing or the duster access plug is. I'll double check, but I don't think I have a parts breakdown sheet or an exploded view of my printer. The pla filament is white kind of glossy but it did it with a non glossy orange to.
Thanks Gary

If you don't know what you are doing, then it might be easier to turn the filament sensor off! Lol...
