My new favorite print sheet: Garolite G10

As you know I've been a tireless salesman for BIQU Cryogrip Pro sheets. So much so, that they should be paying me commissions.  Everything seems to stick to them and they don't require cleaning between prints (or ever for that matter) since they are finger print immune.

Where these sheets don't shine? TPU, PC and POM. For the first two (TPU and PC) they stick too well. In the case of TPU, without a separation layer, it can damage the sheet and the part trying to pry it off. With PC is sticks so well that when large parts cool, it lifts the sheet off the heated bed which warps the part. With POM (Acetal Delrin) it won't stick to the sheet at all (which is expected, this filament doesn't stick to anything and warps like a Pringles).

So based on research (google) the best surface for POM is lightly sanded G10. So I picked up a square on Amazon for $20, stuck a 3m adhesive magnet sheet to the back of it, stuck it onto my Prusa smooth PEI sheet (which I no longer use). Lightly sanded the top and my POM prints stuck to it!!! So next I tried a large PC print. It stuck well to the sheet but then warped off of it. So I applied Nano Polymer Adhesive. It stuck so well that it bent the sheet off the bed (was due to the magnet sheet I stuck on the back).

Next I purchased a G10 sheet on a rigid steel plate (not spring steel). It wasn't cheap ($80 USD) however it's beast. My PC and ASA parts stick to it extremely well and don't noticeably bend the sheet off of the bed. This also prevents the parts from warping (too much) when they cool. So now I do all my TPU, POM, PC and ASA printing on this sheet and use the Cryo for everything else.

Would you be willing to share where you found this plate? My searching thus far has been unsuccessful.

Thanks,

Steve

Ah... Sorry,  I meant to post a link in my original post. Here it is: Prusa MK4 G10 with Steel Build Plate

There is a cheaper option: Luminate 3D Printer Build Surface Plate but you will need to attach it to an existing build plate using something like this: Gizmo Dorks 3M 468MP Double Sided Adhesive Transfer Tape Sheets and this Prusa I3 MK4 MK3 MK3S+ Core One PEI Build Plate

There is also this one but I don't know anything about it: DarkMoon G10

This is fine but doesn't fit my very specific use case where the plate has to be completely stiff (no spring steel).
