MTBF on certain parts
I'm assuming that with Prusa printing all those printer parts, they would have a good idea what the MTBF (mean time between failures) of different parts. It would be nice if Prusa would publish the information. It could save users from not having the appropriate spares around when a part fails or at least me 😉
I have an MK3 and MK2.5 and according to my wife, I print on both of them constantly 😀 I have had the pinda probe and front part cool fan wires on both printers have break failures after 6 to 9 months of regular usage and this has happened more than once. I thought originally that the wires were being pinched running though the extruder housing, but that wasn't where the failures were. The breaks appear in the middle of wires so it must be due to the x-axis back and forth and z-axis up and down on the wire bundle. They are minor breaks because I can usually twist or pinch the wire and tape it as a temporary fix once I find out where along the wire the break is.
What are others seeing?
Does Prusa want to publish any findings on MTBF? It would really be appreciated.
Re: MTBF on certain parts
MTBF would be cool. But any collection of lessons learned form running a huge printer farm would be helpful.
