Metal Filled Filament vs MIM tech Filament
There are a lot of filament that ha metal powder in it that is heavy and can be polished up, but still is plastic plus metal. I see that MarkForged has a system of metal filled resin that is then de-resined by chemical and heat. The print is then sintered and reaches a high density near that of standard metal. The sintering is the technology behind MIM parts that are injection molded.
It seems that any printer would be capable of printing filament made with compositions similar to MIM materials. It seems washing of resin out and the sintering is a key part.
Is anyone making filament that is MIM process compatible?
