Mark Read
After the change of the forum, we could click the words "mark read" at the bottom of the forum and it would mark all fo the thread as being "read". Then you look for "new threads" and it was a useful search. Right now, the search or filter is nearly worthless. Any chance this could be added back?

Nope. I'm struggling to find the new posts on the threads that I've read most of and identifying new threads that I might be interested in. I just didn't comment because I have no control over adding any features back.

I never used that feature, but it is the only way I think the current software will be as usable. I never had issues locating new prints. Between notifications and PMs, finding discussions I actively wanted to pursue was easy. Now I have a big list of "new" posts spanning many pages, and it's easy to lose track of where I left off previously. I know I'm missing many good discussions that are more than a few days old.

RE: Mark Read
Same here - subscriptions without a forum based notification system that shows the use new posts is kind of pointless.
Also - even the Recent Posts>Not Answered posts is barely manageable. And on my screen all posts show as Read in WordPress speak (not bold).
What is making it worse for me is when I reply in a topic, it shows up as an unread post ... lol ... even though I just read and posted in the thread.
And I still struggle with what the black, white, blank, and red icons mean. Is there a way to change the state or is that automatic?
RE: Mark Read
Yes, it is impossible to find old threads. The "Recent" posts brings too many to make it useful.
I have noticed two problems with the "read" system currently:
- My replies make the list.
- You have to open or read all post to make them "read". (scratch that - this does not work!).

RE: Mark Read
Another vote here to bring back the "Mark read" button. Going through the unread list every time without a way to mark uninteresting topics as read is a pain.
