Looking for a Printer for a 3 hour or so print (West - Central Florida)

I am normally based in Germany and have a small print farm there.

At the moment, I am in Florida, about 75 miles north of Tampa and a similar distance west of Orlando.

My sister had need of a special bracket/holder for a projector, kids educational thingy, that would allow tilting of the projector up to 160 degrees.

I made two bracket/holder sets (3-4 pieces each "set") for her and packed them into my carry-on..

Well with the fiasco flying, 3 up and downs instead of the normal non-stop, and some rough handling, one holder broke during the flights and I have no access to a printer over here.

Anyone around the Tampa-Orlando area that could print a new holder for me?

I printed all the parts on an MK3S+ (.15 quality, no other special settings) and the holder is 218 mm long, something like 45 wide.

Picture below shows the layout I used to print the holder in Germany..

Silver PLA would be great.. but ..

I have the STL and can provide

Any input would be welcome

Regards

There are lots of printers in the area (see picture of the map) - it is the link "adesir" posted.

Best regards, Clemens

Update .. send out a few requests for a print.. no answers .. not yes or no .. but silence .. wondering if this thing is on?

Are people actually getting the requests and not responding or?

Sorry - I don know. Have you tried to find some Makerspace or something like that, where you maybe can book a 3D-printer for some hours?

If you can't find a printer doing this job for you and you have still the broken part with you you can repair this (well I know this is not nice looking) as desrcribed:

Put the parts together with CyanAcrylat (CA - oder wie man im deutschsprachigen Raum sagt "Sekundenkleber"). Next, cut a glass cloth to size for the glue joint (with a little oversize) and then glue this also with CA over the break and soak it completely through so that it becomes transparent. Now quickly put a plastic film on it and smooth it out. Be careful that the film does not stick, but if it does, you can sand it away after curing. Then sand the glued area until it is completely dried. Parts repaired this way are very strong. I do this very often.

@clarmrrsn

Thanks for the suggestion.. it will remain a fallback.

Having pretty much given up on finding a printer,  my wife has stepped into the breach .. She has never done a single thing on any of the printers other than the occasional request for a new toothbrush holder, shower rings, kitchen gadgets, etc..

She uncovered an MK3S printer, connected all, I always disconnect when I take a trip, loaded the filament and ran an inital test, with me on the phone..

I redid the slice with a bit more infill, went from 20 to 50% and sent her the GCode..

She loaded it, started the print and is about 30% done at this point, first layers look awesome.. it added an hour and change to the print time, but what the hay..

She is scheduled to fly here in a week or so and if all goes well, will have her print another spare and let her do the packing this time, as I should have done before..

Hope springs eternal .. and she is pretty sussed with the whole thing ..

Pretty cool.. Maybe another addict in the fam ..

Cheers

That's risky.

You realise you may never get near the printer again now you have shown your other half how to use it 😉

No seriously,  good news.

Just watch out for the bag chuckers at the airport, have seen the gits take a run up before winging a bag into a cage.

Tank you very much!
