RE: Let's Talk Bed Adhesion.

I am testing a new bed surface for adhesion this weekend.

Dobestfy 9.25 x 9.25:  It feels and looks like a Bondtech knockoff.  I will post back and let you know how it performs.

Magigoo PP is quiete great. Also because it's a lot more easy than packing Tape applying AND removing.

IMHO, one of the biggest problems is finger contact with PEI sheet, the oils from fingers is very difficult to get off the sheet even when using all those chemicals, I found a litte gem:

Mr Clean Magic Eraser, you can buy it from Amazon, after using all the chemicals and soaps I then use the sponge which restores  adhesion, but after that its imperative not to touch the PEI sheet with your fingers, ever again !

I use a cheap ice scraper from the pound shop to get left overs off the PEI sheet to avoid touching it, I have no idea what plastic the ice scraper is made of but it takes a beating and never cracks or breaks, I bet its polycarbonate or something.

Hi

Been looking into Magigoo PP - which sheet are you using it on (smooth or satin) and can it be removed without damaging the build sheet ?

Thx

I have used all 3 and it works.  I have also used Buildtak PP and works well.

I pretty much swear by Layerneer, and use it on both the smooth and textured sheets on the Prusa printer, and also on the glass plate on my other printer.

It works both as an adhesion booster for things like small PLA support footings and as a release agent for things like ABS and PC Blend.

It does not leave a tell-tale impression on the bottom of prints, as glue stick often does.

A little goes a very long way.  I have yet to use up one bottle in over a year so far.

Amazon usually has it.
