I would buy now. The Silver sold quickly at the elevated price.

I ordered a roll. We will see how long it takes to sell out.

Out of stock ... Good thing I got one 😉

Re: Launching Prusament – the best filament that you can inspect yourself!

I've loved the print quality I've gotten with my Prusament, however... I've noticed that when the spool starts to get low, the filament can get caught in the 'notch' in the spool edge where the end of the is initially stuck. On at least one occasion, (and likely others given the couple failed prints before I noticed it) it got stuck tightly enough that it caused my mk3 to detect a crash from the print head running out of slack while moving! I've resorted to sticking tape over these to avoid it happening again, but it seems like a pretty serious (and easily fixed) design flaw, it seems as though this notch shouldn't actually continue all the way to the rim of the spindle, so that there remains a smooth rim with no places for filament to catch.

When will we in the UK be able to get Prusa filament and Prusament from our Amazon or other local outlets? I think there are very many i3 owners here who want to support Prusa but want to do it without pouring money into DHL when they could use that money to buy more filament. As well as users of other printers.

This I have found to be a very good color match to Prusa Orange with excellent dimensional stability

Does anyone know how much an empty spool weighs?

I bought a printer and a roll of prusament and have a largeish print todo and want to know if i have enough filament left on the reel

It differs on tthe brand and vendor. Mostly it have about 200 to 250g (for a 1kg spool).

Check the link on the Prusamint filament. Not only does it give the specifics of the measured specifications of your roll, but I think there is a link to a filament left calculator. They know the weight of their own spools, so they can automatically tare that out when you give them the current weight of your spool. (If the filament left calculator isn't there, I forget how to get to it. But I do remember stumbling across it at one point.)

Considering the demand for the MK3s parts, I would guess until that has been fulfilled.

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

Re: Launching Prusament – the best filament that you can inspect yourself!

Is there any information about RoHS and RECH conformity of this filament? Any statement for that?

This would really be good!

Re: Launching Prusament – the best filament that you can inspect yourself!

I have a feature request for the Prusament Website or at least Prusa site somewhere. Can we use our sign-in to keep track and save spools we have purchased. this will allow me to check a spool data on a spool that I own So I can jump online and see this spool had an issue at this point without needing to scan the filament every time i want to check it

Just bookmark the page for each spool as you get it and keep them in a folder you could have a folder for PLA and one for PETG for example.

That starts to get complicated when trying to access those bookmarks across devices. Yes, I know both Chrome and Firefox have bookmark syncing across devices, but if one uses Firefox on the computer and Chrome on their tablet and Safari on their phone, that gets quite complicated. The feature request above would be a value added addition to their store account. Even allow updating spool weight so one can more easily use their "how much filament do I have left" feature. Prusa can then leverage this for more sales to allow customers to set automatic re-order points on a filament type that optionally triggers on a low enough spool weight.
