INDX similar system...?

Yes, I know it's (for sure) not the correct place to post this, but I didn't want to post this in the INDX sub-forum to keep the INDX sub-forum clean:

Only a matter of time before the INDX clones start appearing out of China.

RE: INDX similar system...?

Like INDX it has a single, shared drive mechanism on the toolhead, and that mechanism is a variation of the "dynamic extruder" (self-adjusting dual gears).  But unlike INDX it does not use a single inductive heater on the toolhead, but has individual conventional heaters in each tool. (And presumably temperature sensors too.) Hence each tool has a filament tube and a cable. -- Reflected nicely in the name: It's "...DX", but not "IN".

This one is a hobbyist design, hence even if patents were to cover the Dynamic eXtruder, this will not violate them unless commercialized. Looking at the time and number of respins it took Bondtech to perfect the INDX head, I am a bit skeptical regarding the robustness of this design. But for hobbyists for whom tinkering with the printer is a core part of the hobby -- why not?

Predict FormNext will be all about tool changers. Creality, FormNext, Qidi, Anycubic. Somehow Creality will try to force a tool changer on an Ender /s
