Yeah, I saw the dots and clicked on them already.  It only gives the options to Edit or Delete.  Clicking Edit will allow me to make changes, but the only thing I see as an option after that is to Save Draft.  Still doesn't get it published.

Hi, you have to switch to the "Published" state and then the button will changed into "Publish now". The reason, why you can't directly publish imported models is because you have to select the print category etc. Also sometimes Thingiverse has a mess in files, so it is better if the user checks it and then manually publishes it. Fully automatic TG import could make PrusaPrinters untidy place.

RE: Importing from Thingiverse error

Hi,

I am having issue with importing project from Thingiverse. I get the notification that import is finished, but in the same time I get Error - try again later. I'm still having same problem for 2-3.hours for now. Is there something I can do to fix this ?

Thanks.

Thingiverse changed their website, breaking the importer. There is another thread here where a Prusa Person has stated that they are working on fixing it.

On the profile, you'll see your drafts and 3 little dots at the top.  Click on the dots and one of the options will be to EDIT, from the Edit you can then publish.

Way too many clicks and the entire UX needs to be redone.

Also, Thingiverse has an intermittent token issue so sometimes, it saves the appended Bio info and or not.  You think it saved but it didn't - which explains my migration issue.

Of my 50some tv (=thingiverse) projects only 10 were completely sucessfully imported. I suspect it is related to the recent failure of tv to provide downloadable zip files? Has any efforts been made on the side of the Prusa programmers to download the individual files instead?

See I am considering to leave the potentialy sinking (due to neglect) tv ship, but manually reuploading all the files for 40some drafts - I can't prioritize that now...

May I even dare to suspect that the fleeing of developers might be the reason why tv has killed the zip download feature?

I can see it now, it was only that the crediting was limited for 10 Projects, how do I know when The time is up and I can upload more projects for credit?

RE: Importing from Thingiverse error

Hello all,

unfortunately I also have the problem to transvert my "Thingiverse" models to "printables".I copied the necessary link from "printables" into my profile (BIO) and then clicked on "VERIFY PRUSA - TG CONNECTION". After that the filament spool turns and turns and turns, but no import.

What am I doing wrong, or is it Thingiverse. It is well known that performance is a problem here 🙂
