Help with glue on bottom of print ASA filament
Hi,
I have a bunch of the Prusa Mk4 printers and been printing in PETG. Recently I started to look into ASA filament for higher temperature outdoor use.
The print ot the enclosures are relly nice, they have a smooth finish and all the dimensions work well from my design.
However, the spray-on adhesive I use on the textured bed seems to leave white marks all over the bottom of the print. I tried hot soapy water and IPA but they had no effect in removal.
Is there a way to clean the white marks from the adhesive from the bottom? Thanks

If these are stress marks they can be removed by going over them with a hot air gun.

I sometimes see the same when I use glue stick before an ABS print. Sometimes the marks can be removed by scrubbing with a coarse washing up sponge in hot soapy water, but sometimes there's a residual mark. I'm not sure if it's related to how much glue stick I use. I usually use just a smear, and then smooth it out with a wet paper towel, but maybe the marks correspond to where the glue was left a bit thicker than it should have been - just guessing here.

I have used 3dlac for some ASA prints (also ABS) which did not self-release from the print plate and I had to flex the plate to release them. They had those white marks on the bottom. Carefully going over those with my hot air gun removed the white marks. If the hot air stream gets near enough the color change is immediately visible and happens very fast. Takes just a few seconds.

Thanks for explaining that, @walter-layher. I’ve noticed such marks even with no glue when I print PETG on the textured sheet. Now I know how to fix!

I have seen reference to using Acetone. A small amount on paper towel and wipe quickly, I'll try it today
