Having decided to buy.
Ok
Have decided to take the plunge and buy the Prusa in kit form, wanting something with a little more quality prints than my other machines. Just want to know if the expected lead time of 3 to 4 weeks for delivery given on the web site is accurate. Mainly because i will take a few days off work to build and trouble shoot.(and yes regardless of the lock-down i am one of those still at work)
RE: Having decided to buy.
Hi ,
I recently received a machine and the eta was very accurate for the machine type that i ordered.

I was ordering my new printer when the leadtime was about 1-2 weeks and it was shipped after 5,5 weeks. But I have to admit it was / is a spezial time. It was around the time from the beginning lockdown in Germany.
But it is worth waiting because it is a very good printer and it run the last weeks 24/7 with very little problems.

Take your time and enjoy the build. Prints like a dream too.

RE: Having decided to buy.
I ordered my MK3S on May 6th and it still has not shipped. I have seen some people get their printer faster than others. Not sure why this happens, I saw a Facebook post from somebody that ordered on May 12th and they already have put the printer together. I did order the smooth pei sheet and it shipped next day which was Friday of last week and I received it today. Now if only I had a printer to put it on....
RE: Having decided to buy.
Which Printer? I think only the mini has an extended leave time but even that might be letting up soon.

In my case I ordered the MK3S. When I ordered lead time was 3 weeks. Now it has jumped to 5-6 weeks on the kit.

@charles-h13
Mistyped before. Lead time is 4-5 weeks on new kit orders.

Currently, the displayed waiting time is 5-6 weeks for the assembled printer, 3-4 weeks for the kit (MK3S). I know, I ordered mine last weekend and check about daily 🙂

I was not referring to what the charts say but what people are reporting.

I ordered on 4/29 and am still waiting. The estimate at the time was 3 weeks, and we're now at 4 weeks and counting. So I'd say don't believe whatever estimate you see on the site, it's not at all accurate, and you won't ever get any accurate information out of customer support.
It's super frustrating because someone definitely knows where everyone's order is in the queue, they just choose not to share that information for some reason.

MK3S on 17-Apr and still waiting. I'm going to IM/Chat with them tomorrow morning to see if my queue position got messed up. Six weeks and counting for kit.
RE: Having decided to buy.

RE: Having decided to buy.
I ordered mine on 10th April and it shipped on 6th May, after cancelling a Mini order (18th March) that I gave up on.
