Sorry:   I should be clear about methods.

I have been creating these files with Puppy Linux which is binary compatible with Ubuntu.  Checks in Raspberry Pi OS which is effectively Arm Debian.

Additional checks with old versions of zip using RiscOS - Versions of zip pre 2002 fail to open file correctly, I have not nailed down the exact versions at which zip function changes but a 2010 version is OK so it's probably not going to be significant.

I am pretty sure you can't zip with iOS.

Hmm.  iOS works.  I would rather have a more plug-and-play os than a plug and pray os.
