Oh, Tim, you're such an optimist... Why would the folks who don't bother to search this forum (or just do a simple Google search) for their first layer problem, Prusaslicer "bug" aka bad STL, etc etc, bother to read this guide?

Good info on getting stuff into the forum. Hell, you can do a series on using the forum effectively!

My thought is to make a real post rather than word, and then have a forum link to post - people will be adverse to opening something they feel they are obligated to read like a useful PDF or Prusa Guide.

Frankly - I am amazed by the number of recent posts where it is obvious these guys never opened the handbook, and I suspect didn't use the assembly guides (one reason I am avoiding the Mini pages is because of the rampant questions like https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/rough-surface-after-nozzle-change/   -- seriously - read what this guy has done to solve a "nozzle" failure. How do you help this level of ineptness? Sorry - I can't help but be perplexed at people spending hundreds of dollars on something and not even taking 5 minutes to read pertinent info about the care and feeding of said investment.   

Maybe I'm just out of touch. Is the current generation of peeps that entitled that if it isn't handed to them on a golden platter they demand someone else fix their problem for them? If so, maybe all we need to have is LIKE buttons ... maybe a counter on each printer that the user can check; and his friends can punch a code on their phones to ping the counter. Yeah - that's it! The reason all these prints are failing these guys is they don't have enough likes.  I'll add this as a feature request in Jakob's thread.

I hear you loud and clear. You would think we're in a world in which everyone's first stab at a problem would be to ask the Wise Google for advice. No. It seems easier to shoot a message to one of the forums -- even though that involves a lot more effort. Preferably with one image of the problem because everyone here has ESP abilities and can simply deduce your specific settings from that image.

On the plus side, it could be worse. Exhibit A:  Reddit r/prusa3D...

Another way (and in my hands faster way) to zip the 3mf is to right-click on it and go to "Send to "Compressed (zipped) folder". On Windows.

Perhaps worth adding.

I actually begin to like this... I created a keyboard shortcut with the URL so that makes it easy to include instructions into a response.

Guide is OK as far as it goes.  Might be worth adding hint for Linux / MacOS users to lower the default level of compression - use max speed setting or set compression to 1 or even 0 so that Windows users can open it easily.

(Windows users who also have a Raspberry Pi can use the Pi to open any level of Linux compression.)

 😲 Whaaaaat, that easy, and so obvious, when you see it in print. I always thought it was stupid of Microsoft not to add zip-function when they have unzip.
And look who´s stupid now 🙄

Tim, let me know if you can use Mac or Linux screenshots for anything. I only recently realized the only Windows I have ready access to is on my work laptop! I need to set up another virtual machine for Win10.

Well, putting it under Send to is not really an obvious choice MS made... So it's easy to overlook.

I have put a shortcut to Notepad first in "Send To", that is the only one I ever use. (until now)

Perhaps a friendly Linux and Mac user - Chuck? - will snap a couple screen snips/shots of the actual steps of creating a "proper" zip file?
