Global PLA Shortage
There is a global PLA shortage as demand outstrips supply. New "green" uses for PLA are taking off. Some PLA filament makers are already raising prices or simply unable to manufacture new filament.

RE: Global PLA Shortage
Due to Prusa's black Friday sale I'm sure lol
RE: Global PLA Shortage
I didn't help the situation... I spent a bit over a hundred bucks and have 14 more rolls of filament to show for it... XD
RE: Global PLA Shortage
Polyalchemy stopped production? I hope it's not permanent. Must resist urge to hoard my remaining spools.

RE: Global PLA Shortage
It may affect Prusament in longer time period. What I find funny about 'the world' moving to PLA as replacement for oil-based plastics, is the fact that barely anybody actually recycles PLA. I kind of worry we'll end up with products coming from renewable sources, yes, but unable to be processed further, thus getting to point 0. Hopefully as production and use of this Type 7 ♻️ plastic ramps up on a global scale, technology to effectively recycle or compost those pops up too.

Lets just turn it into the heat.. since its plant based, its part of the natural CO2 cycle... 🙂
