Frustrating forum bugs...

I'm sorry... But these forums are just wonky as all hell. Every time I log in to use them they do something that do not inspire confidence in Prusa. I don't want to say it but damn it needs to be said. Even when they "fix" something the issue persists.

Take this for example:

I logged into the forums to post a reply on this topic:

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-core-one-how-do-i-print-this-printing-help/part-gaps-and-filling/#post-772104

To which I quoted another user and posted my post.... Only to find said post actually loaded into the end of THIS thread I had visited a few minutes prior.

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/english-forum-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/printables-clear-notifications/#post-771957

I deleted that and moved it where it should go.

Now, the typical argument is "cache" or something, but come on...

At one point I mentioned the languages were coming up wrong for different things like the post successful. It still happens.

The waiting for moderation delays are very annoying. Someone will post a reply on your thread, you will get an email with a link, and when you click on the link their post is hidden, requiring me to login on my phone (inconvenient to say the least) just to read what they said.

As a tangent, forums have been around since the beginning of the internet, and just like everything else, they just become worse over time... SMH.

Disregard...

I think I might have actually been in the thread when I did that...

Another issue with the forums I have is the brief window I have to make changes. Despite only being 10 minutes... I can no longer delete the post.

do not inspire confidence in Prusa.

Their central value proposition: Even if it doesn't work you can be reasonably sure it will still work (in the same way it does not now) in a decade. or two.

🙂
