Forum: I get spammed to email, but have no subscriptions listed to cancel
Every post in every one (of the 2...) threads I've posted in gets emailed to me. I had to create spam filter for it... Going to my profile I'm not subscribed to anything, according to the forum, so I can't unsubscribe from these threads. I see that at the very bottom of this editor where I'm entering this text there is a pre-checked "subscribe to this topic" which is some bullshit since I don't want to subscribe to every topic I comment on; again, in my profile there's a checkbox to indicate if I want to subscribe to every topic but that's not checked. So apparently those checkboxes in the profile don't work? Very annoying.
Open your profile, go to Subscriptions and scroll down to find the unsubscribe selectors.
Cheerio,

They work but they don't do what you might think they do. They are meant to allow you to subscribe to all new topics, or all new topics and posts, across the forum. I don't do that, I rather use a newsreader to follow specific forums.
Regardless of that you choose for that option to subscribe to all new topics, by default the software will tick the "Subscribe to this topic" box when you respond to a topic thread. I'm not aware of a way to way to tell the software not to select it by default. I guess the idea is, if you bother to reply you might be interested in seeing future responses.
It's just one of the many idiosyncrasies of this software. (That's a polite way of saying it sucks). But I guess it's just too much work for Prusa to replace it. And frankly, I made my peace with it. Given the recent degradation of software quality across the board, from Prusaslicer to firmware to the embarrassing phone app, I'd rather they focus their dev resources on core software products and get back to the level of quality we used to expect from them.
