                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p data-start="78" data-end="92">Hi everyone,</p><p data-start="94" data-end="458">I just got my first 3D printer, a <strong data-start="128" data-end="169">Prusa MK4 3D Printer</strong>, and I’m planning to use it in a room that’s usually around 80% humidity, and (5 - 10 celsius ). My main concern is the electronics—especially the <strong data-start="294" data-end="310">XBuddy board</strong> and the PSU—and the risk of condensation causing shorts or corrosion. Unfortunately, I don’t have the option to move the printer to a drier room.</p><p data-start="460" data-end="601">For filament, I’ll be using a dry box with desiccant that feeds directly into the printer via a PTFE tube, so I think that side is covered.</p><p data-start="603" data-end="858">To protect the printer, I’m planning to build a DIY MDF enclosure out of an old wardrobe. I’m on a tight budget, so a large dehumidifier isn’t an option, but I could consider a very small one, 30–50 watts, inside the enclosure if it would actually help.</p><p data-start="888" data-end="948">Has anyone run their MK4 in a humid environment like this? <br />Would silica gel packs inside the enclosure be enough, or is a tiny dehumidifier worthwhile? <br />Would it make sense to put silica packs inside the XBuddy board cover to reduce the chance of condensation?<br /><br />(Please forgive me that i used AI to help me write this topic)</p>]]></content:encoded>
