RE: Fedex Retroactive "Duty Fees" in US
Ordered a Core One and an MMU3, one arrived in early September, the other in late September. My Prusa invoices show no tariff, only Fedex shipping charges. Fedex delivered all items without any mention of a tariff. Did I just luck out? Other people are saying that they received a notice from FedEx a couple weeks later, but it's been seven weeks for me now. Did I luck out?
Prusa is never going to include a tariff charge on the invoice, that is the responsibility of the shipping agent; in this case, FedEx. I've been receiving duty invoices from FedEx for packaged delivered last 2 weeks of September. I have not received any invoices for earlier shipments.
RE: Fedex Retroactive "Duty Fees" in US
I got a news blog that alerted me to a "Black Friday Sale" so I went to the store and a pop-up appeared saying that all pricing was for the real cost, including tariffs. I went as far as checkout and the shipping prices didn't look much different than before tariffs so I am a little afraid to actual make a purchase. H0wever, the prices were quite a bit lower than the Amazon "Prusament Store." Has anybody actually tried this new shipping regime?

I've noticed that on the prusa store now too. I've not had a case to buy anything recently. I was going to a few days ago to get some replacement x-carriage rods for my MK4S but I ended up ordering comparable replacements from amazon for like half the cost. I'll be interested to see what folks ordering find out. I suspect based on the new things announced recently I might end up ordering something soon though.

Just to clarify, the DHL shipping charges at checkout were about 50% higher ($37 for two spools), but the Fedex charges were almost the same as a few months ago. I suspect they are not accurate since they are the folks that sent me the $10 retroactive charge on 1 spool a few months ago. Also DHL uses SAP software and its notoriously accurate for logistics.
RE: Fedex Retroactive "Duty Fees" in US
I've only ever used DHL for shipping when ordering from prusa, even for my XL and MK4S->CoreOne upgrade kits so I'm not sure. However, DHL always let's me know of import duty to pay prior to me getting the item so I suspect they know what they are doing a bit more than fedex does in this regard. Letting you get the item prior to having you agree to and pay for duty seems super disorganized on fedex's part.

The SCOTUS will vote soon on whether or not the tariffs are constitutional but I kinda already can predict the outcome... Someone has to pay for the tax cut given to the wealthy class.
RE:
I'm curious about the notice on Prusa's store "import duties already included" and I got an a duties and taxes line item for $386.22 on the "order confirmed" email but on the PDF invoice it says "Sales Tax: $137.49. The lack of clarity from Prusa3d.com is an issue because it takes the order and then adds a big fee. That's not up front or properly communicated.
Which jurisdiction is the tax for because when I use my US state sales tax rate, the total does not jive.
The difference between the total and the sales tax is $248.73.
How do I reconcile this nearly $250 charge when the website says it's "already included?"
I asked support via chat "I just want to be sure this is accurate as it is unexpected" and they said "It should be accurate, yes as we are now working with Global-e which allows us to process the import taxes for the customers and handle the customs fees"
X marks the spot.
