Does Anyone from Prusa Read These Forum Posts?
Some random statements:
- The forum software needs work. Quality of life improvements like not getting logged out constantly or to be able to edit or delete posts for a longer grace period than 10 minutes. Or not being automatically opted into topic subscriptions.
- A lot of issues with the Core One I believe were solved here first. Just one example, the motor grounding issue and some sort of recognition from Prusa that these issues exists.
- Someone from Prusa replying to posts where people are asking for help will add weight to the response.
- Some sort of reward or recognition system for those of us spending a lot of time helping others. Like Prusameter points for example. Not sure how that would work in practice but just throwing it out there for discussion.
- It seems Prusa is more active on Reddit. I still have PTSD from Reddit and prefer to hang out here where it is safer.
- Speculative topics where the gist is "We think Prusa meant to do X this way..." Someone from Prusa confirming or denying this would be helpful.
RE:
To add to the list:
- It feels disrespectful to me that Prusa uses this forum to dump announcements on users, but does not bother replying to feedback and questions. (And probably does not bother even reading them.)
- It feels awkward that the first, sticky post here is titled "We want to help you...", but continues to explain "... but not here." It says quite clearly that Prusa has no intention to help users on this forum.
One part of the community is helping others with issues. Community members are not prusa staff, while there is a lot of useful information in the forum and our members have a wealth of information combined, it is all community based support. What that means, is that it is not an official means of support, so it should be kept in mine, that it is a "use at your own risk" type of situation.

Which is what partially triggered creating this topic. Immediately after assembling my Core One back in June I had issues with it, especially around the grounding issue, a problem with the cooling fan and not fully understanding the belt tensioning gantry alignment process. So on the two occasions I go onto chat, the Prusa support person sent me off on wild goose chases (especially around the grounding issues). It was only here that I finally found the answers I needed.
If it wasn't for the forum members here helping each other out, in the early days (6 months ago... lol) I would have taken a sledge hammer to the Core One and moved over to BL. At this point my printer is near perfect (at least I fully understand it now) but it was due in part to the people here on this forum.

I got a "feedback" popup in Prusaslicer and that's exactly what I wrote... guys why don't you read your own forum (and act on it).
I've got no real complaints as the printer is generally doing what it is supposed to do, after investing a humongulous amount of time. But, hey: The MMU was marketed as a "finished product" and I surely paid for one. The total lack of a "cancel" button is a sad joke (e.g. on a mis-click the printer requires a hard reset).
Not to mention the umbilical hanging through and jamming under some conditions against the X stepper, also raising the question whether the Core One was truly a finished product.
RE:
The Core One was a "We better announce this at FormNext 2024 and have it ready for shipping before we sink further into irrelevance... even though we haven't worked out all of the bugs yet" I just hope the forthcoming INDX kits don't have the same teething pains. But then I trust BondTech not to muck this up.

Huh? I am not getting logged out constantly. Logging in is not an issue either.
I think the ten minute limit is just fine. Just make a new post if you have a change of mind. The issue with the time being longer is that later replies can be obsoleted by the earlier posts being changed.

I am also constantly logged out. Sometimes a simple click on login is enough, sometimes I need to re-enter the credentials.
I could add to the topic :
- Fix the poor multi-language integration. I am French, using the English forum. And even on an English Windows with an English browser, I always get German or Spanish "working" popups when I post a message.
- Proper management of attachement or picture pasting. The current WordPress like system is so buggy and horrible to use. Previews are cropped and you never know why sometimes the picture isn't clickable to see it in full.

Right now, my pop-ups are in Polish. Last week they were French.
