I concur. I think Prusa will be one of the survivors. I know this will bother some folks, but I compare Prusa to Apple. They have an incredible support network and they produce a reliable and quality product. That combination keeps customers lining up.
But unlike Apple, Prusa is open to external innovation. I should probably stop there otherwise I might allow myself to get embroiled in a Holy War against Apple, (ironically while recognizing that no one wins in a Holy War).
It is because of Prusa embracing the open source community (hardware and software) that, while producing printers that really doesn't need modification, they allow things like the bear mod, skelestruder, etc to exist uncontested.

Why must we have a holy war against apple? I think Apple is focused on more than profits.
