RE: Could using i3MK3S+ contribute to US$20-30 increase in electric bill?
So in the Winter, I could actually use it as a heater for my bedroom?
I would guess is would add a couple degrees to a room its in but not be a full heater. I have a space heater that 1500W that I heat just the room, I'm in so I can leave the rest of the house colder. So 10 printers should be able to heat a room, if 1 runs at 150W. I like to use mine to add a little extra heat to the room I'm in. I like to bake a lot in winter for the same reason. You'll still need to run the heat but if I have to pay for heat I figure it should at least do something useful.
And if it does make your AC run a little more in the summer just consider it an extra dehumidifier for your filament.

[...] I agree but I think this also has an effect on the AC use in the room. These buggers can heat a room.
Good point. That's a factor that gets overlooked. The printer itself may not consume that much power, but if it's dumping heat into a room that you're already trying to keep cool, your AC is going to have to do extra work. A good consideration for placement of the printer.

@bobstro
Yes. I am setting my printers in my workshop. It will be possible to turn on the AC in sections to prevent this. I will also be able to heat just the section with the printers.
