Can't I write a Private Message?
Hi,
I just registered to this forum because I would like to contact a user, but it seems that private message are disabled for me.
How can I contact an administrator since I can't write private message?
Re: Can't I write a Private Message?
You need to have made at least 3 posts before you can PM anyone.

Can I use this post to collect 3 posts?

That sounds reasonable. If, after replying to me you can send a PM, then yes. 😉

Intentionally spamming the forum to bypass the anti-spamming protections is likely to have exactly the opposite effect of what you're trying to do.

RE: Can't I write a Private Message?
I mean... The message you get when you can't write a private message says to post in this thread until you are able to?
Edit: I'm just trying to reply to a message about some printer socks. Happy to do whatever if there's a better way... 🙂

OK, but maybe he still needs to PM someone.
Let's see, if we can make this more productive... Maybe some questions to answer (one post for each answer):
- Introduce yourself. Who are you?
- Why did you start 3D printing?
- What's your experience level in 3D printing? (Maybe you have experience in 3D modelling or construction)
- What printer(s) do you have (ordered)?
- What project do you plan to do next?
RE: Can't I write a Private Message?

RE: Can't I write a Private Message?
Wow, what an obnoxious "feature." I get that you want to prevent spam, but given that our forum accounts are linked to our main Prusa accounts, it seems incredibly simple to allow someone to PM immediately if they've actually made a purchase, or a purchase over a certain threshold. You should also be allowed to reply immediately if PM'd by a moderator.
RE: Can't I write a Private Message?

RE: Can't I write a Private Message?
Its a combination. I started using cura many years ago but have become fed up with the way they do profile and printer and materials. I constantly lose settings. Switching to prusa has been great.
On a side note, if you guys could create some documentation on how the profiles and user presets, system presets work that would be great. It took me a while to figure it all out and had to do a lot of hunting on forms.
