Can someone in Poland or with cheap postage price, print and send me adapter for lubing linear bearings for SuperLube?
Hi,
Is there anyone who can print me (I'll pay) and send me adapter for lubing the linear bearings on MK3S?
I sold my MK3S because someone paid me more then new one is here on the store. So I ordered the MK3S+ and I would like to properly grease bearings while assembling it.
For greasing I chose universal bearing lithum greas (No superlube anywhere to buy in Poland).

You do not need an adapter to lubricate the bearings. Just take a thin wooden stick and spread the grease regularly around the balls. Then put it on the shaft, slide it back and forth a few times and relubricate if necessary. The bearings should not be full filled with grease. For re-greasing after some time of operation, the even re-greasing of the shafts is sufficient.

You seem knowledgeable. Is universal bearing lithium grease good for this purpose? (I'll wash bearing in Isopropyl alochole before lubing them).

...that sound so wrong... 🙂
My printers: Mk3s / Mk3s clone with +upgrdaes (you know SPinda and all that good stuff) / Mini+ / Ender 3 v2

@hooch - Lithium grease is fine.
From the official prusa help page ( https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/i3-printers-regular-maintenance_2072):
"Lubricant
As for the type of lubricant, the best option is to use our lubricant (available in our online store). Using oils such as the standard WD-40 is not optimal, as the thin substance may not bring as much lubrication as needed. WD-40 Specialist Lithium Grease (the one for hinges and bearings) is much better. Denser greases may accumulate dust over time, which may cause even more damage to the bearings at the end of the day.

You can use a normal universal lithium soap grease of penetration class NLGI 1-2. The brand does not matter. I have never used the Prusafett, because I lubricate all my machines since many years with my lithium soap grease from LM. You can clean the bearings first with washing petroleum.

How du you figure that? Of course you need to fill the bearing with grease, otherwise what’s the point?
Or maybe you are referring to the “hole” in the bearing where the rod goes? But then again, how are you supposed to fill that part of the bearing where the baring balls are without filling the whole bearing?
Excess grease is pushed out by the rod when you mount them together no matter how you do the greasing.

@micke
too much lubricant damages the bearing - this is perhaps better described here:

For Misumi LMU8 bearings, a grease quantity of approx. 1g/bearing is sufficient for initial filling.

Ok, I see what you mean, but with the seals in these bearings on our printers I fail to see how it would be possible to add too much grease. Excess grease will just be pushed out.
It's not like you are able to build up a pressure between the balls and the sealing in these LM8UU bearings, at least not in the ones I've got..

There are some people who fill the bearings with grease presses (see Thingiverse constructions). This is not necessary. I follow the recommendations of the SKF specialists and calculate roughly with the formula: G=0.005xDxW. Has always have been successful for me and I have never lost a bearing due to lack of lubrication.
In the forum there are countless opinions and recommendations on this, so I prefer to get the opinion of the ball bearing professionals or the manufacturer for special applications.
Sorry for the poor explanation. English is not my native language and technical terms are sometimes difficult to translate.
