Brutal lesson learned when trying to add a reply in the forum!
The good thing about learning lessons the hard way is that one usually learns it well. Before you click to post your well thought out reply, complete with pictures, copy what you can to somewhere. Once you get a very helpful message that "there is something wrong with your data", you will be happy you did since your entire reply has vanished.
Learned something new today.

Brutal! It's not sitting in a Higgins boat on D Day, in the great sweep of things it doesn't raise beyond the level of mildly inconvenient,

This is why I have the Typio extension loaded in Chrome. Auto-backup to recover when that happens.

I've had this happen to me several times here, it's very discouraging, If I think I'm going to be long winded in a tutorial type post, I now use a text editor first and copy and paste from there, however since the time of the great deleting, I've not really taken the time to make posts like that anymore.

The only "chrome" in this household are the plumbing fixtures. 🙂

I hear you. I am sure there are a lot of knowledgeable people like you that feel like you do. Our loss! 😥
My post wasn't long, but contained technical details on my latest project with things I learned that might/could possibly help someone.
I copied this reply to OpenOffice before clicking on Add Reply. 🙂 🙃 🙂 🙃 🙂

LOL, I can live with the short ones vaporizing, it's the two page long posts that knock my pud in the mud.
