Broken Parts... What to order?
Hello,
In December 2016 I bought this model:
Folger Tech 2020 Aluminum 2020 Prusa i3 RepRap 3D Printer 1.75mm [With 2004 LCD w/SD reader]
The printed parts that move the platform up/down broke today.
These are the parts that have long screws running through them.
What do I need to order to replace them?
Can I buy them separately?
Or do I have to buy a kit with all parts?
Thank you.

these parts might help
x-end-idler
the zip file should contain both sides!

Hi Clalian, you appear to have bought a clone.
can you add some photos please showing the parts you are having problems with, and we might be able to help you
drag and drop the images into the text entry box,(the box should go blue!...
then an Add Media box should open up, like below, click the link to media option arrowed, and your thumbnail images should open up, full size the other picture is the bones of a printer I guess yours may look like

RE: Broken Parts... What to order?
Thank you for the quick reply!
The parts that have broken are the ones circled in blue in the photo of this post.
You know?
It has just dawned on me that I didn't buy an original Prusa.

if the printer is still working you can print your own. see either this site or thingiverse.com for multiple options for the X axis parts

I wonder how much of his printer is prusa and how much is folger tech.
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.
RE: Broken Parts... What to order?
Thanks for the help everyone.
Yes, now that I checked my order emails, it is a Folgertech.
First printer, so I didn't know what I was doing (and still don't, truth be told).
I checked thingverse.com, and I can't find those parts. I seached for "folgertech z-axis"... yet I can't find those parts.
Any idea what search terms specifically?
The more I look at the Prusa MK3S, the more tempted to order one.

One big advantage of ordering an actual Original Prusa printer is then you get access to spare parts in the Prusa store, including plastic parts. If you work with Prusa's customer service (from reports the chat seems to work faster than email) after purchasing a printer they often replace parts free (warranty service) if there isn't obvious user abuse. That customer service is part of why the Prusa printers are more expensive than the clones.

RE: Broken Parts... What to order?
Thank you both!
I have set aside a budget, and hope to order a MK3s before the year is over.
Much appreciative of the help received here.
Hoping to re-join these forums as a Original Prusa owner soon =)
