Another filament that I just finished a roll and I am very happy with is FilamentOne.

A few types of PLA are available on Amazon. 

1. FilamentOne Red Glint PLA PRo
2. FilamentOne PLA Pro Glint Blue
3. FilamentOne PLA PRO Select Glint Gold

This will be my next review.

Original Prusa i3 printers are compatible with a wide range of materials with unique properties: easy-to-print and very popular PLA with plenty of color variations, tough PETG for mechanical parts, strong and versatile ABS with great thermal resistance, composite materials resembling wood.

I've used all of these but Duramic. Can also recommend:

• Filastruder Veracity
• Gizmo Dorks
• eSun
• Paramount

If you stick to the better-known name brands, most filament is decent these days. Even the StrongHero budget stuff off Amazon was OK, though very loosely spooled. Recent AmazonBasics has switched from the original Overture filament to something new and horribly spooled. The filament is fine, but the spooling is abysmal and there are better for the price. Lesson learned after buying 5Kg of the stuff.

I've had good luck with Hatchbox, both PLA and ABS on the I3.

Well I have about 5 rolls of transition filament PLA I bought from Filastruder when I purchased my mk3.

The PLA does not melt as easily as my prusament.

It is more durable though.  I was able to make  a couple of face shields with it and one started melting in my car because I left it in when i stepped out and when I noticed i carefully aligned the parts and let it cool.  It is still a little warped but I am able to still put a plastic sheet in it.  I am not going to use it though.  It does not layer as smoothly as prusament and I feel I have to use a higher temperature.  Maybe becuase it was transition filament but I will use it up.  I have no choice.

I am sorry but I am traveling on work now and will not be making any filament for the foreseeable next few months as I will be away with work.  Yes, I am working again.  Yay!

When I do get it going I will be sending you a sample.

Also I am not selling my printer.  I was able to find what was wrong after many days of patience and re-evaluating the problem.  I was able to find the problem on my own after all the tech help that did not solve the problem.  But would you know it now.  Temperature is a problem now.  I will need to build a enclosure after all or invest in a hotend that doesn't overheat.  But that will have to wait till I am back home from work.

PETG is what I would use if exposed to any hot temperatures.

I’ve been using SainSmart filament aside from the filament that came with my Makergear m2. It’s been working like a charm, and I leave it out in the air still hooked up to my printer when not in use (I know that’s really not recommended, especially with PLA, but so far so good for ~2 weeks at a time in a dry room). 😊

Since I replied earlier, I've also had good luck with Paramount, RepRapper, Overture, and the FilamentPM stuff that appears to be the same as the Prusament Silver Gray.

I also had good luck with one spool of Ultraline, which now appears to be unavailable, but the only hit I got when I googled Ultraline filament was one very scathing video from one guy who had bad luck.

I've made good experience with the regular own brand PLAs from 3DJake (3djake.com), if you are from Europe that's a good source, also for a good number of known brands.

I also have quite a few Fillamentum spools of PLA. They come in a solid assortment of colours and do print ok in general, however, they do show a tendency for clogging if you either go for 0.25 mm nozzles or hardened steel nozzles without adapting the nozzle temperature. That is, more so than other filaments I tried out so far.

I have used this filament before, and found it good, but be aware, this is more towards a pure PET blend so is semi transparent, requires a hotter temperature and may shrink just a little compared to some PETG blends, but it does result in some very strong prints. The black can look a little greenish when thin and held up to the light, but again, this is because pure PET is actually clear, so to make it opaque, all sorts of fillers have to be added which can affect the final print strength, usually for the worse!. Not so much the case with this filament, just don't complain that it looks green instead of jet black.

The coloured PETG filaments are very nice as lamp shades.
