Australian Import Duty And Tax Charges Added To Everything In Prusa Store Prior To Checkout?
"Things you buy over the internet will have the same rules, duties and screening processes applied as any other import. For goods with a value of AUD1000 or less, there are generally no duties, taxes or charges to pay at the border."- https://www.abf.gov.au/buying-online/buying-online#:~:text=For%20goods%20with%20a%20value%20over%20AUD1000%2C%20you%20will%20need,alcohol)%20regardless%20of%20their%20value.
It appears that Prusa have added these extra charges to everything in their store, from printers to filaments to parts, regardless of the cost of the item? In other words they are now charging anywhere from 12.5%-16% on top of their prices for everything? I'm hoping this is just a mistake on their end and they have accidentally added these charges to everything instead of at checkout only if the goods you purchase accumulate to over $1000?
Proceed to checkout, check the price just before confirming payment; if there is any discrepancy contact Prusa support before confirming.
Cheerio,
RE:
This is just one example but Prusa are adding these extra charges to every individual product in their store, not at checkout if the total amount exceeds $1000?

And another?

I'll give Prusa the benefit of the doubt here but If they are serious about these price hikes then these ridiculous prices will be the death knell for a lot of people down under on already overpriced items, not to mention the exorbitant shipping costs to Australia.
I have started a communique with Prusa to ask them to clarify their justification of the implementation of these extra charges, especially the double-dipping.
