But yes, the idea of a "limited edition" consumable ... warrants quite a few smileys. IMHO.

Deffo on the expensive side for a spool of PLA - although I do like the standard orange PLA. Prints really nice for me. Don't get why it's so limited though.......

Saying that, I've yet to ever see any of the signature oak printers 'in the wild' - reckon they even sold any?! lol

The "get a price quote" page is still online, so presumably the run of 250 units has not sold out yet. Not sure whether any have been shipped already? I would certainly expect some of the proud owners to share photos - not necessarily here but on Reddit, Instagram, LinkedIn or such. Maybe they are all still busy tidying up their offices or living rooms to provide adequate surroundings for the new showpiece? 😎

seriously, probably pre-production material. Superficially simple things like serial numbers tend to become fairly complex behind the scenes, either you need a new product code or roll with it 

My blind guess from a far, far distance...

Now those rare misprints will be the really valuable collectors' items, like the blue Mauritius "Post Office" stamps! Just make sure to leave it entirely unused, in the original vacuum-sealed bag, and only touch it with white cotton gloves. 😉

I don't buy Pursament. It's too expensive for something half way around the planet. I can get PLA for less than half the cost.

The only color I plan to buy, at some point, is maybe Pursament Orange just to match my machine. And I am saving pursameters for that. But I don't really need it.

So, no. I'm not going to get the glitter orange.

I usually prefer to print functional or hobby related prints. Random things like gold fish, vases or the latest fidget spinner aren't really my interest, so all the fancy colors don't do me any good. I stick to the base flat colors. I will say, though, I really liked that galaxy black my printer came with. I might get more of that down the road some time.
