FOMO hitting so hard, I have to get this. now.

Not.

How about getting corporate supply chains sorted out so the premium-branded product "staples" are actually available for purchase when the buyer wants to buy?

Looks like something my cat coughed-up the other day.

Agree, I'd rather have the engineering filaments in stock when I need them.

for the record, I was about to throw in a smiley to take off the edge but apparently the forum server crashed with the post well past the edit window.

But yes, the idea of a "limited edition" consumable ... warrants quite a few smileys. IMHO.

How about staying on the topic?
Some people on discord say it looks pretty neat, and they save it for special occasion which may never come 😉

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

$70 ($47.99 + shipping) for a roll of PLA? Maybe if was made from powdered unicorn horn.

Deffo on the expensive side for a spool of PLA - although I do like the standard orange PLA. Prints really nice for me. Don't get why it's so limited though.......

Perfect for use in the Core One Signature Oak, the special 3D printer which may never print. 😊

"To prevent scalpers from ruining the fun for everyone, each account can only buy one Prusament PLA Goldfish spool."

(meanwhile sometime around midnight in a back alleyway)

Me: You got the filament?
Scalper: Yeah I've got the filament (opens suitcase, orange glow emanates). Show me the money first.
Me: How do I know this isn't fake?
Scalper: You can see the glow can't you? Do you want it or not?
Me: Hands over the suitcase stuffed with cash.

Saying that, I've yet to ever see any of the signature oak printers 'in the wild' - reckon they even sold any?! lol

The "get a price quote" page is still online, so presumably the run of 250 units has not sold out yet. Not sure whether any have been shipped already? I would certainly expect some of the proud owners to share photos - not necessarily here but on Reddit, Instagram, LinkedIn or such. Maybe they are all still busy tidying up their offices or living rooms to provide adequate surroundings for the new showpiece? 😎
