Alter retraction settings in g-code
Hi,
Please attached picture.
When printing a part sliced with Prusaslicer, the nozzle seems to drag when it passes through the middle of the print surface, which creates unsightly lines. I would like the nozzle to raise to avoid these drag lines but I'm unsure of how to achieve this.
In Flashprint 5, which is Flashforge's slicer, there is a retraction setting called "Only retract when crossing outline" and if I set that to NO, I get no more drag lines, but I cannot see how to enable the same sort of thing in Prusaslicer. Any help with my appreciated, thank you.
Printer: Flashforge Adventurer 4
Material: PLA
Slicer: Prusaslicer
Temps: 220/55
RE: Alter retraction settings in g-code
Hi Earbud,
your nozzle may be dragging because the print surface is higher than expected.
try a small test print with your normal settings, then try exactly the same test print, same filament but reduce the flow rate say 5 or 10%, see if it makes a difference
as far as your actual enquiry goes... see below (Prusa Slicer needs to be in Expert mode, to see this option)
