Adhesion problems? This might be a solution.

At least it worked very well for me 🙂

Hi everyone. Every so often I ran into adhesion problems. Especially when printing PETG from various brands. And it drove me nuts. There was no obvious reason why it should not stick. First layer was fine, bed was level and dish soap was my friend. So I thought. The other day I was looking for something in the garage and I saw a spray bottle of car wax remover (not what I was actually looking for....). This stuff is used to remove old layers of car wax and also acts like a degreaser on car paint. Well, if it's good enough for my car, it should be good enough for my printer, right? At least it should not do any harm. The results were absolutely perfect. Fantastic adhesion with PETG. No need for a glue stick, hairspray etc. And as soon as the print sheet cooled down, the print comes off with no problem. I use Gyeon Q2M PREP. But I am sure there are similar products from other manufacturers. I am so pleased with the ease of use and the results. And I just wanted to share this with you guys. If you have adhesion problems, you might want to give this a try.

Happy printing!

Cheers,

Christoph
