3D newbie : What type of filament to buy alongside my Prusa ?
Hello,
Here I am with another 3D newbie question.
On the prusa shop there are all sorts of filament types and colors.
Can you give me an idea on which types a beginner should/could buy and also
if there are colors that maybe give better detail than others or colors to avoid ?
Which filament gives the best results ?
Thanks in advance for the help !!
Greetings,
ilja

PLA is probably the easiest to work with starting out. It's relatively easy to get good results, and once you get the basics down, not much can go terribly wrong. Some of the sparkly filaments can be a bit more prone to jamming. Most of the filament from the better known firms is good quality these days. Avoid any no-name or really generic stuff. The spool of silver that Prusa ships is a good choice as it shows print quality & flaws and flows very smoothly. Other than that, try colors you like.

Thanks for the info. I'll start looking for filament in the webshop.
