Samsung Dishwasher Utensil Basket
I am kinda proud of this one. Samsung Dishwasher Utensil Basket. 22 hour print in PETG.
RE: Samsung Dishwasher Utensil Basket
Nice! Did you need any supports?
RE: Samsung Dishwasher Utensil Basket
Yes. Snug from Print bed seemed to cover everything that needed to be supported. I have some small edits to do to make it better. Will do that soon.
RE: Samsung Dishwasher Utensil Basket
very cool. is PETG temperature tolerant enough for that though? I'm curious if you'll notice any sagging over time.
RE: Samsung Dishwasher Utensil Basket
I have some smaller parts inserted into the old baskets for about a year to repair the bottom made out of PETG and they have not warped or done anything weird. I also have a sponge holder that gets washed in the dishwasher every week for the last couple of years and it still looks good.

awesome. I've never tried to make anything for the dishwasher but I always wondered. I'm not sure how hot it gets in there. Good to know. Thanks

I think I made a mistake. Now that I look at the previous stuff I printed for the Dishwasher it was ABS. The basket is starting to show signs of warping.
RE:
I have PETG links in my dishwasher and it has been doing fine for several years.
It is a repair on the top shelf mind you not near the heater at the bottom. Also keep in mind the 3D printed stuff is not considered food safe because of all the crevasses, porosity and surface finish prone to bacteria growth. I just figured that the constant wash in dishwasher soap would alleviate the issue.
I am still here but YMMV....
