Noise reduction

Hi, I'm looking for any mods for noise reduction for the Purse Mini+?

Thanks for your ideas!

Hi, there! Here's an excellent video that looks at the issue and compares several solutions. The best one, which I now also have at home, is a concrete slab of 40 cm by 40 cm, with a foam slab of the same size and 5 to 8 cm thick underneath.

Just a short question: Wouldn't it make sense to post your question right up in the MINI forum? I think "Awesome prints (Hall Of Fame)" isn't the right place?

Best regards, Clemens

RE:

Thanks for the great video link.

I used an old gym mat to eliminate noise of my MINI+ completely, and was happy with proof video I uploaded:

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/best-vibration-absorption-for-table/#post-597634

Now I learned from video why I will add concrete slab on top of gym mat:

  • avoid deformation of gym mat
  • more evenly distribution of printer weight on gym mat
  • fire prevention in case hot printer stuff gets in contact with mat
