Laptop stand for very high display

At home my HDMI display is higher as it normally should be.
I like it when middle of display is at my eyes height when sitting in front.

Working with my new laptop as is is OK, but when using it longer display needs to be higher.

For 173° opening laptop I 3Dprinted laptop stand that brought top of 15.6" display at my nose height (I am 1.92m tall).
I found something that will be available at vacation house as well, that brought middle of display at my eye height:

Only because I tested the laptop stand to be surprisingly stable I did this experiment.
Part of the really cheap laptop deal was a wireless mouse (details in printables.com model).
I had Logitech K400+ wireless keyboard as well.
This would be a more "normal" display height:

The OpenSCAD file provided allows to adapt for different laptop opening angle and thickness.

Is that stable? I would be really nervous placing even an inexpensive laptop on that thing. For example if I bump the table or a breeze passes by... it looks like it's ready to fall!

It is stable, too my surprise.
I am no mechanical engineer, but everything from laptop is completely above the two 3Dprinted parts.
So the center of mass is above that as well, and therefore the whole construction is not instable.

I did experiments and kicked the laptop away from me, and in my direction — and nothing bad happened.

But I agree with your suspicion on a heavy table bump.
I will create a v2 version that extends longer to front and back, and will be really stable.

Instead of a v2 version I created "shoes" as addition and added to printables model:

Looks nice:

I uploaded video demonstrating improved bump stability:

So in a stable environment shoes are not needed.
In case bumps are to be expected, add the shoes and all is fine.

Yesterday we arrived at Denmark vacation home, and first test of laptop stand inhouse was good, middle of display not at eye height, but OK.

Just tested outside on roofed desk with shadow, seat height is a bit less than inside, so display height is even better!
I bumped against desk intentionally several times, no stability issue.
