Jack O'Lantern

Saw this last week on Thingiverse - Jack O Lantern with interchangable faces/backs. I printed the Jack Skellington and ChestBuster faces. Printed at 175%, 0.2mm layer height and 5% infill.

In addition to the 175%, I scaled the "clips" to a Z height of 4.3mm to make the faces tight against the body.

I printed the same at 190% using 0.32mm layer heights (good enough for stand-off distance). The main print was about 20h and the faces 7h each using a 0.60mm nozzle. I may have gone overboard with 3 perimeters and 20% infill. How long did yours take?

Re: Jack O'Lantern

Main body was 22 hrs 34 min
Jack Skellington was 8 hrs 33 min
Chest Buster was 11 hours 48 min
Stem & clips: 2 hours 30 minutes. These were with 4 perimeters and 10% infill for extra strength

GMAN,

I bought that Orange from PRUSA before they offered the PRUSA ORANGE.

A quick photo of the paint job of Chest Buster... the photos don't do it justice... looks a lot better in person

Re: Jack O'Lantern

Here's a couple photos from Halloween night with the Jack O'Lantern, with my Face Hugger, with a pulsing LED light in it. One photo is with the room lights on and the other is with the room lights off and the LED light on - this was about medium brightness and looked better outside especially when the LED light pulsed to its highest level...
