hull(p∈ℤ³, norml2(p)==n) — "sphere" with edges and corners
My complete posting was lost because of some forum countermeasure 🙁
Found the problem, forum does not like 1292 bytes long URL with JSCAD model included to render.
So I created redirect URL on my personal website, and that does work:
https://stamm-wilbrandt.de/lattice_sphere.html
The "lattice sphere" was my first JSCAD app created by demo4.gp of my GP3D repo (use JSCAD model as 3D output for PARI/GP code) that I really 3Dprinted:
https://github.com/Hermann-SW/GP3D?tab=readme-ov-file#demo4
If you click on first link in this posting you will see left model in your browser:
JSCAD allows to export as STL, I imported into PrusaSlicer and 3Dprinted.
I did that first to have done the full cycle from parametrized JSCAD model to 3Dprinted part.
Later lattice sphere turned out to make my 15 months old grandson smile!
He is throwing lattice sphere all the time.
Why?
First, to my surprise it acts like a rubber ball on hard ground, and it is loud:
Second, the many edges and corners make for non-linear rolling (loud as well):
Because the JSCAD app link above is all that is needed to 3Dprint lattice sphere, I did not create a printables.com model for it.
