I created the model during lockdown last year. Its an old Simca 1200s Coupe i drove back in the 80ies.
Maerial used: HIPS
Model printed with 0.2mm layer height on a 0.4mm nozzle.

That is really phenomenal. Very nice work!
That must have been a lot of work to get the paint looking so smooth.

Yeah quite a few layers of filler. The 1st version i melted in the sun (PLA)
RE: 1/10 rc car body
Printing all day, only the 2 bggest body parts left to print, 3 more days of patiently waiting.
RE: 1/10 rc car body
The tall body parts developed cracks, so i changed the body part layout to 6 pieces instead of the original of 4.
After that i added a tuning kit for the body.

The 1/10th scale really helps, anything smaller and those thin areas would be super fragile.

Indeed. The clear plastic i will use for the windows will add some strength. 1/8 to 1/10 seems to be the perfect scale with 1/10 the cheaper option for the chassis and other rc parts.

Oh man, a CSL 3.0 is a very cool subject.

Thank you 😀

The classic style rims fit much better, i just need to paint them silver. The modern style rims always make the wheels look way too big for the classic body.
RE: 1/10 rc car body
some more work done
RE: 1/10 rc car body
Absolutely awesome.
RE: 1/10 rc car body
