Filament interlocks
Hi,
I wonder why it happens to me the filament interlocks. This comes when one filament turn comes under the next - resulting in, the printer tries to get more filament but there is no chance for it to get more.
By the end it strangles itself and cannot move no more... the print then sort of misses the right places to print.
The rest of the printer works like a charm - just that. The filament is 5 days old, doesn't seem to produce any bad adhesion problems by humidity or so, but when I try to help the filament to unwind it seems sometimes its sticking very slightly on the wound...
Never heard of that before, so I post it, thx!

RE: Filament interlocks
This happens when you let the end of the filament come loose. The filament snaps back onto the spool and can bind or create a knot. ALWAYS keep the end of the filament under control and use a clip or other method to secure the loose end. It is not possible for filament to be manufactured with knots. It would be extremely unlikely for you to receive a spool from the factory with an actual knot in it. Loosely wound filament can bind but not cross itself.

Sicherlich wäre es angebracht hier weiter in deutsch zu schreiben und/oder den Thread in das englischsprachige Forum zu verschieben.
