Prusa Protective Face Shield Cover - RC1 (WIP)
Hi,
based on the feedback from the doctors, we have started to design a cover, which should fill in the opening in the headband. There is however an obstacle we need to overcome. This cover has to be flexible in order to allow for different shapes of the headband.
The first design (work in progress) was just uploaded to the PrusaPrinters:

Looking forward to your ideas/remixes 😉

RE: Prusa Protective Face Shield Cover - RC1 (WIP)
I wanted to say THANK YOU, and commend whoever created this cover add-on.
It adds only 1/2 ounce (~14 grams) to the total weight.
But what is most impressive is how PERFECTLY this fit into all the frames I had printed already. Like a slipper!! I just used a bit of glue to make it permanent.
I'll now try the 'combined' print. Thanks again.

What size 3d printer do i need to create the face shields? will 5.5 base be large enough
RE: Prusa Protective Face Shield Cover - RC1 (WIP)
The transparant shield can be made much simpler if the holes are positioned different:
I've used a standard office perforator to puncture the holes in a sheet. (4 holes, 8 cm apart)
As a transparant sheet I've used an overhead projector sheet. (the old guys here will know what an overhead projector is 😀 )

Nice design..it looks sturdy

The design looks sturdy, but may I ask what is the size of the 3D printer? Surely I think there will be enough size for the base. Thanks
