Re-producable CORE One ‘layer shift‘

Hello Prusa,

I have:

  • Printer type: Prusa CORE One
  • Printer UUID: b7a9bce7-d0f4-483e-88b8-7264d7711ca7
  • Printer firmware version: 6.3.4+10511
  • PrusaSlicer version: 2.9.2
  • Bug description:

After a few dozen prints (without issue!) I switched to a 0.6mm brass nozzle. I began to notice "layer shifts" at the same z-index for a couple of prints. Re-slicing with different layer heights seems to eliminate the problem which leads me to believe this is an interaction between the slicer and the firmware.

The "layer shift" manifests as a negative deflection in the x-axis (the greatest shift I've seen is about -10mm). Subsequent layers print aligned to this deflection. Curiously, when the print is canceled the printer hits the x-axis limit and seems "surprised" to find the limit further suggesting that the deflection is a bug. Stepping through the gcode, there doesn't appear to be any invalid coordinates (at least as given by the PrusaSlicer preview).

Happy to share more details, photos, and bgcode (the part is not proprietary)
