PrusaLink cannot connect to MK3S+ (3.14.0) on RPi Zero W (PrusaLink 0.8.1)
I'm experiencing a very similar issue to this resolved post except that one was listed as Solved in PrusaLink 0.7.1, and I am running 0.8.1.
- I have installed a new RPi Zero W, purchased directly from the Prusa Shop with the GPIO soldering already complete.
- I have confirmed that the RPi port setting on the printer is ON.
- I have also cycled it ON -> OFF -> ON, rebooted the printer, and waited over an hour each time several times.
- The printer displays the IP address, which loads but displays the following error.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to detect your printer on any serial port."
And under "More info" it says
"/dev/ttyAMA0: [RPi] NOT USABLE ... ✘"
MK3S+ firmware is 3.14.0-8066

A full downgrade of 0.8.1 to 0.7.2 resolved the issue... But then I updated again and it resolved itself in 0.8.1.
Working assumption is that it was a bad restore in RPi Imager, but I don't have a good explanation as to why it happened twice.
In any case, it's working for me now. in 0.8.1.

Hi, I do have kind of the same problem with the prusa link 0.8.1.
I am into the point where my printer shows me the IP adress, but I cannot access it into my web browser...Do you solved your issue?

I have the same issue.
Have a new RPi Zero W purchased from the Prusa Shop. RPi port is on. MK3S firmware is 3.14.0-8066. PrusaLink 0.8.1.
Getting the same: "/dev/ttyAMA0: [RPi] NOT USABLE ... ✘" error.

Downgrading PrusaLink to 0.7.2 resolves the issue for me.

Never mind, figured it out. You have to run the wizard locally by going to your ".local" address first. You cannot add it to Prusa Connect with the "Add Printer" button like you can with the other printers.

I've got an similar issue.
I'm using the following configuration:
- Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ Bausatz
- Raspberry Pi Zero for PrusaLink
- Firmware3.14.0-8066
- PrusaLink0.8.1
There were no problems when setting up the entire system. Even with the first 8-10 prints everything was fine. Only now, after switching on the printer, everything connects to PrusaLink, printing can be started but after half an hour to an hour the printer goes offline and printing stops.
What could be the probelm?
